Association Events

We at The BSGDs’ Jr. College believe in promoting the overall personality of every student. We offer the students a fairly extensive range of extra-curricular activities. These activities are conducted by the following associations.

English Literary Club

It organizes Debate, Declamation, Film Review, Micro-fiction, Poetry Recitation, and other literary activities based on English Language and Literature. The aim of such competitions is to develop soft skills and built confidence among learners for public speaking.

Marathi Wangmaya Mandal

The Marathi Department organizes and conducts various programmes like Essay-writing, Elocution, Power Point Competition and so on to boost language learning.

Gujarati Sahitya Mandal

The programmes and competitions conducted by the Gujarati Department are on similar lines as that of English and Marathi Departments. This association also has a unique feature of organizing competitions in Vocal Music and Cooking without Fire which are very popular among students.

Hindi Sahitya Mandal

It conducts programmes and competitions like Mono-acting, Elocution, Debates and other activities for the improvement of students’ vocabulary.

French Association

The French Association organises competitions like Crossword, Drawing and Write-up, Essay-writing and so on to boost the learning of the foreign language in a fulfilled manner.

E.V.E. Association

The workshops and competitions conducted by the E.V.E association like Shoot the Frame, Best Out of Waste, Ad-Mania and so on help create awareness and develop sensitivity towards the environment.

Geography Association

This association organizes educational field tours to different places of geographical importance, in and around Maharashtra. It also conducts exhibitions based on geographical phenomena and environmental issues.

Political Science Association

The association broadly aims to encourage scholarly understanding of political ideas, norms, behaviours, and institutions through competitions like Essay-writing and Poster-making.

Sociology Association

To help students imbibe the basic social processes of society, social institutions and patterns of social behaviour, the association organises competitions like Slogan-writing, Poster-making and Essay-writing.

Philosophy Association

The association conducts Poster-making and Essay-writing competitions to develop critical thinking.

Psychology Association

The association organises various competitions like Podcast-making, Mime and so on to develop new insight amongst the learners.

Economics Association

Terrytoons, Portfolio-making, Just a Minute and so on are some of the competitions conducted by the Economics association to develop interest among pupils for economic issues.

Commerce Association

Different activities, programmes, lectures, seminars, visits and competitions are organized by this association, to develop various skills and commercial awareness in the students.

Science Association

Different activities like Number Ninja, Project Exhibition, Rangometry, Sci-Fi Story-writing etc. are organised to provide an application oriented creative outlet for student expression.

Mathematics Association

It conducts competitions like Sudoku, Cross-Numeric Puzzle and Quiz based on Mathematics to improve analytical and quantitative skills of students.

I.T. Association

I.T. Association organises competitions like Tech ’n’ Talk, TyperAcer, Counter Strike, Pictorial Mime and so on to boost innovation.
